Tata Power wins 330 MW solar project in Madhya Pradesh – pv magazine International

TP Saurya Limited, a subsidiary of the company, has received a bid for the construction of a total of 330 MW of photovoltaic capacity in the 500 MW Neemuch Solar Park.

Tata Power announced today that its subsidiary TP Saurya Limited (TPSL) has received a letter of credit (LoA) from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) to build a 330 MW photovoltaic project in the Neemuch Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh. The capacity granted includes two 170 MW and 160 MW units, which won the RUMSL auction with tariffs of 2.14 Indian rupees and 2.149 Indian rupees respectively.

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, in the presence of the Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Hardeep Singh Dang and other important dignitaries, handed the power of attorney to Ashish Khanna, President of Renewable Energy of Tata Power Company.

These projects will be built in the 500MW Neemuch Solar Park in the Neemuch District of Madhya Pradesh. According to a 25-year power purchase agreement, the energy generated will be supplied to Indian Railways and Madhya Pradesh Power Management Co., Ltd. The project is planned to be put into production within 19 months from the date of implementation of the PPA.

Through this project, Tata Power’s total installed capacity of renewable energy will reach 4,361 MW, of which 2,947 MW is installed and 1,414 MW is currently being implemented.
