Sungrow supplies inverters for Brazil's 475MWp solar project

March 17th (Renewables Now)-Chinese solar inverter manufacturer Sungrow Power Co., Ltd. (SHE: 300274) stated that it will provide a central inverter solution for the 475 MWp Sol do Sertao solar project in Brazil.

The company has signed an agreement with the project sponsor Essentia Energia, and the company is currently building the complex in Oliveira dos Brejinhos, a city in the state of Bahia.

The Sol do Sertao project will build eight solar power plants.

As part of the contract, Sungrow will provide 122 SG3125HV inverters, consisting of a group of 61. The Chinese manufacturer stated that the project site is located in an area where the thermal sensitivity can exceed 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit), and Sungrow’s inverter solution can be used without derating even when the temperature reaches 50 degrees. Work.

Sungrow joined Spain's STI Norland, which provides dual-row solar trackers for double-sided panels. General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), through its Grid Solutions Division, will install a 500 kV substation, two power transformer installations, grid automation and telecommunications systems for Sol do Sertao.

The Sol do Sertao complex will begin commercial operations in the second half of 2021.
