Tesla orders smart inverters made in India from IIT-Kanpur-based startups

Oxygen Neuron Indian Pvt. Ltd.-a start-up company incubated in SIIC (Start-up Business Incubation and Innovation Center) launched their latest product "Magic Box" smart lithium battery wall-mounted portable inverter, its first customer is an electric car manufacturer Tesla's Indian branch.

The equipment was held at the IIT Outreach Center in Noida with the respected MSME Minister of State Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, DIG, CISF Prabodh Chandra, and dignitaries from IIT Kanpur (including Professor Amitabha Bandyopadhyay, Dr. Nikhil Agarwal-CEO of IIT Kanpur and Vikash Mr. Prakash) appeared together.

Compared with the transformer-based inverters available on the market, the inverter claims a 94% increase in efficiency. The device is compatible with the Internet of Things and can be easily controlled with a smartphone. 

The inverter is made of pure copper wire and powered by LiPo4 batteries with high-quality batteries. It is not only compatible with solar charging functions, but also can be used to charge electric vehicles. The company promises a battery life of 15 years and provides a 5-year replaceable warranty.

ER Ashutosh Verma, the founder of Oxy Neuron, has a career of more than 14 years and has worked with many government and non-governmental organizations in hydrology, network security, clean energy, artificial intelligence, robotics, forensics and other industries.

He said in a statement: “The Lipon inverter is a new innovative device that helps to store electricity on an astronomical level and reduce the carbon footprint. This innovation is a current need, especially in rural India. A lot of attention. The magical inverter is expected to solve the power backup problem in rural India."

He added: "This can completely change the industry in the future. We have received the first orders for Magic Box inverters from Tesla India. The government's support and innovation for start-ups is a boost to the growth of our start-ups. There are more and more innovative products, which are of great help to the general public."

Tesla India has recently become news because it has asked the government to cut import taxes on its popular electric vehicles before pushing them to the Indian market. However, government officials seem to be divided over the decision to provide easements, as several Indian automakers have already done their best to create a logo nationwide, such as Tata, Mahindra and other electric vehicles that are making cars in India. manufacturer. India. Granting Tesla easements will not help promote domestic electric vehicle production.
