Fimer, the world's leading inverter supplier, has launched a series of new three-phase string inverter solutions in the Australian market, targeting commercial and industrial solar applications and providing "many additional performance features."

The Italian-based company said last week that the product had been launched in a few countries, including Australia, in January, and plans to launch it globally sometime in the first half of 2021.

Fimer acquired ABB's solar inverter business in early 2020. He stated that the new PVS-10/33-TL series (output power from 10kW to 33kW) is designed to meet the growing demand for flexibility in the commercial and industrial sectors.

Fimer said this includes integrating a zero-export system, which will save system costs and eliminate the need for expensive additional equipment-an attractive environment in an environment where solar system size and export restrictions can be restricted by network specifications. The function is unpredictable.

For installers, Fimer stated that the new PVS-10/33-TL platform provides a series of benefits, including quick installation, easy operation and maintenance, and quick commissioning through the company's solar inverter installer application.

The inverter also has current monitoring for each string, a fuseless design, no maintenance and on-site intervention due to fuse failure, and prevention of potential induced degradation (PID) to ensure photovoltaic module performance over time.

"This is a complete all-rounder," said Tommaso Landi, Fimer's global product manager for commercial and industrial solutions.

"Our PVS-10/33-TL brings truly different things to our customers without compromise: flexibility in photovoltaic power plant design, cost-effective integration of communication and control architectures, and new technologies such as bifacial modules. Openness."

The inverter also has integrated wifi/Ethernet for TCP/IP networks, which Fimer says allows for cost-effective networks and off-the-shelf alternatives. Moreover, for retrofit applications, the inverter series offers "unique DC side flexibility", the company said.

Fimer Chairman Filippo Carzaniga said: "Last year was a challenge for the industry, but we can be sure that the demand for solar energy will continue to grow in the next 10 years."

"In response, our team of R&D and product management experts built on their extensive experience in inverter manufacturing to create our impressive new...platform."

As mentioned above, PVS-10/12.5/15-TL and PVS-20/30/33-TL platforms have been launched in Italy, France, Germany, Thailand, India and Australia, and will be launched globally in the first half of this year.
