India installed 90.3 GW of utility-scale solar and wind as of June 30, 2022 – pv magazine India

Rajasthan leads in utility-scale solar capacity, accounting for 22% (10,635 MW) of cumulative 48,768 MW PV installations. Karnataka (7,662 MW) ranks second, followed by Maharashtra (5,263 MW).

India’s total utility-scale solar and wind capacity reached 90,320 MW by June 30, 2022. This included 48,768 MW of solar and 41,552 MW wind. A cumulative 66,466 MW of renewable capacity (wind and solar) stood in pipeline as of June 30, 2022, according to India Renewable Map June 2022 released by Bridge To India.

Rajasthan (10,635 MW) leads in terms of cumulative commissioned capacity for utility-scale solar. It is followed by Karnataka (7,662 MW) and Maharashtra (5,263 MW).

New solar and wind capacity addition in the 12-month period from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 totalled 12,532 MW, which is 92% up year-on-year. This included 11,314 MW solar and 1,218 wind. Adani commissioned the maximum capacity (16%) of the overall 12,532 MW renewables installation. It was followed by Renew Power (12.7%) and Avaada (7.5%).

JinkoSolar was the largest module supplier, accounting for 20.2% of the overall 16,867 MW panel shipments to India. Longi Solar (12.4%) ranked second and Adani (5.2%) third.

Sungrow topped the list of inverter suppliers with more than 30% of the overall 11,314 MW shipment during the 12-month period ending June 30, 2022. Sineng Electric (17.1%) was the second biggest supplier, followed by Huawei (3.6%)
