SolarMax Energía from Mexico and Livoltek from China join efforts to introduce new photovoltaic equipment to the national market.Echoes of Intersolar Mexico 2022José Valdez, commercial manager of SolarMax Energía;Steven Lee, Vice President of Hexing Group;Simon Ye, Livoltek, and Marta Arredondo, director of SolarMax Energía.Intersolar Mexico 2022During the last day of exhibitions, seminars and workshops of the Intersolar Mexico 2022 expo, Pv magazine Mexico had the opportunity to talk with José Valdez, commercial manager of SolarMax Energía, one of the most established companies in the photovoltaic sector due to its history in the state of Chihuahua. In a brief talk, José tells us about the origin of the business organization and its main lines of business that it has undertaken over three decades of operations, as well as its most recent alliance established with Livoltek, a manufacturing firm for investors of Chinese origin that is just making its presentation in the country through the Intersolar Mexico 2022 expo. Here are the reflections that José Valdez shares with us.“SolarMax is a Mexican company that finds its origin in the distribution of equipment for isolated systems for power generation and Chihuahua is the state where our first operations are based.Today our commercial activities have spread to other areas of the country and we have on the doorstep the establishment of warehouses in Guadalajara, Monterrey and some other city in the center of the Republic that we have yet to define. We are a wholesale distributor that is dedicated not only to photovoltaic systems (panels, inverters, etc.) but has also become a significant supplier of solar thermal systems, off-grid power generation systems, as well as solar pumping systems and other accessories that are handled in the photovoltaic industry. Our firm's catalog is a very broad product of almost three decades of operations, therefore, SolarMax is a firm dedicated one hundred percent to the marketing and distribution of global brands.Currently the most recent area in which we have perfected our operations is in systems interconnected to the network, work that we have refined in the last 10 years. In this chapter of the business we are very much in contact with the commercialization of photovoltaic modules ranging from 340 watts polycrystalline or monocrystalline to 600 watts. One of the reasons why we are at Intersolar México 2022 today is because we are celebrating the alliance that we have made with Livoltek, a company that produces solar inverters for housing, as well as for the commercial and industrial segment of medium to high power. In the catalog of this new partner there are both inverters and hybrid storage systems and chargers for electric cars. This first moment of our alliance contemplates the promotion of inverters for solar roofs in housing for which we already have the UL certification, but we will soon do the same with inverters for solar equipment within the distributed generation segment as soon as we have all the certifications required by the market. It is important to mention that by the end of this year we will have in the SolarMax catalog the largest three-phase inverter in Mexico that goes from four to 25 kilowatts and that belongs to the same brand as Livoltek, a brand that has had a great success in Brazil, in that market it has positioned itself as one of the three most sought-after firms and this has led the company of Chinese origin to set up a manufacturing center with more than a thousand employees that has been operating for more than a year.Livoltek's goal in Mexico is to position itself among the top five brands in the national investor market in the next two years, but we have no news about whether there are plans for a manufacturing center in our country.Currently our company is convening training sessions on this new equipment, sessions aimed at fellow distributors and new ones who would like to join this marketing project.Defining the short-term future of the photovoltaic industry in Mexico is like 'tossing a coin';however, from what we are seeing the growth is huge. Both Livoltek and our own organization are resilient entities, we have the ability to overcome adverse situations and I mention this because of those forecasts that predict that next year an economic recession could be generated.A relevant fact: During the most intense months of the pandemic, growth was very relevant in the distributed generation segment, which is why we believe that the multiplication of solar systems in the short and medium term will be more than interesting.Something with which I would like to conclude in this exhibition of ideas is to urge all industry players to learn more about technology and differentiate the potential of each innovation in equipment, in this case new solar inverters. You have to remember that the technology should speak for itself.”This content is
